Our Story. Our Passion.
We’re Anabela and Jorge, and we’ve been traveling full-time since 2015. Jorge was born in Luxembourg and Anabela was born in Portugal. We met in 2004 and have been sharing life’s adventures and travels ever since.
In 2013, we took a sabbatical from work and travelled to Latin America on our motorbike. When we returned, our lives had changed. We realised we wanted more than to spend eight hours a day in an office. That’s when we quit our jobs to dedicate our lives to a new project born from our trip: diariesof, a travel magazine that aims to inspire people to explore the world.
We experienced so much in these 6 months in South America, we had so many stories and so many photos, that we wanted to share with everyone who is interested in travel. After a journey of 22,000 kilometres on a motorbike, facing so many difficulties, especially the harshness of the weather, we felt humbled.
With the wind in our faces, we experienced a priceless sense of freedom, that we knew we had to share with the world. When we returned home after our epic six-month trip, we were encouraged by friends to create a magazine to share the photos and stories from our journey.
We never get tired of sharing our travel stories – especially the unbelievable ones, like the time we hitched a ride in a hearse.
We will never forget the people we met along the way, nor their generosity. We never get tired of sharing all our stories – like the time a complete stranger woke us up in an airport to offer us breakfast, the time our motorbike broke down and a local in a pick-up truck came to our rescue, or the time we got a lift in a hearse.
We are now more often on the road than at home, preferring to travel by motorbike and tent. This way, we are closer to the locals, to their everyday lives, and to their traditions.
Our magazines are a heartfelt thank you to everyone we meet and a way to inspire others to discover the beauty of the world. We invite you to join us on our journey and wish you happy reading and incredible travels.
